A Breath of Fresh Air
When my wife and I started looking for our first home we were more than a little unsure of ourselves and the whole process involved in finding just the right place for us.
We walked by listings while walking the dog, pondered prices and were more than a little perplexed by how to actually take the plunge.
Then we found Alan - he didn't push himself on us, was friendly and laid back and really listened to us.
He immediately got a good sense of what we were
looking for, what was and wan't in our expectations and most of all, gave us advice and information that was useful so that we didn't get inundated and overwhelmed with stuff we didn't need.
We had already gone through the circus of a pushy and overbearing realtor for a day or two and Alan was such a pleasant breath of fresh air.
We chatted back and forth through whichever means was convienent for my wife and I, narrowed down the options and looked at a few finalists.
All the while Alan was patient, understanding and provided a sense of security that he had our backs and our best interests foremost in his mind- something which was so reassuring to us that words cannot express.
We found "The One", Alan coached and oversaw and very soon we closed the deal for the very first home for my wife, myself, and the pooch- with just enough room for a nursery down the line! It was remarkably easy and painless which is everything I could ask for in such a major undertaking that I couldn't fathom doing by ourselves.
Alan, thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts- I sit writing this in my new living room with the dog lounging in his new sunroom and my wife out shopping for the first barbeque that we're hosting for friends on our patio.
You've been a wonderful help and we look forward to working with you again in a few years when it's time to spread our wings a little further!

Alan Remembers Who the Customer Is
Success with a REALTOR is measured by factors that are sometimes intangible. Alan has been associated with me regarding my Condo in Vancouver, for 4 years, managing rentals to appropriate clients and eventually handling the sale of the property.
I had the good fortune to obtain my price within 10 days of placing the suite on the market; something not too common in the middle of a world wide recession. Networking with other brokers and providing the seller and buyer with accurate and confident support, made it possible to negotiate the right price and in a small window of time. The buyer and the seller (me) were delighted.
Alan has the resources and determination to know where the "middle ground" is, and delivers information in a way that neither dominates or discourages. He always remembers who the customer is and doesn't let his highly professional knowledge, interfere with the reality of different needs for different people. I can't imagine a more honest or hardworking realtor/manager. Alan takes care of his client.

Meeting you at one of your many open houses was indeed a very fortunate moment for me. From that day forth you have always been there almost instantaneously every time I emailed, phoned you and/or asked you to send something to me.
In stating your reasons for becoming a Realtor, one of the goals you mention is to "Work hard for that client, putting their needs before your own."...Alan, you have managed to do that for me in every encounter we have had together.
